Let's get back to basics with a simple apple and peanut butter snack BUT celebrate October and the fall season with pumpkin spice flare! Making your own peanut butter (or ANY other kind of nut butter- almond, hazelnut, pecan...) is so easy AND you can adjust the flavors to your liking. Peanut butter is packed with protein and will sustain your energy when paired with a high fiber carbohydrate!
2 cups valencia peanuts
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tbsp local honey (optional- adds a touch of sweetness)
1/4 tsp salt
Place all ingredients in a food processor or Vitamix. Blend until smooth and enjoy!
